The same measuring method applies whether your wall is rectangular, sloped, or includes obstacles such as windows and doors.

Measure the full width and height of your wall, including any windows, doors, or other features. Do not subtract these areas, as the wallpaper is installed as a continuous surface and trimmed on site.

For walls with multiple sections, measure each section separately and add the widths together to calculate the total wall width.

To allow for trimming and installation adjustments, we recommend adding:

• 2 in (4 cm) to the width of each wall section
• 4 in (10 cm) to the wall height

Once you have your final wall width, divide it by 72 cm (28 in) and round up to the next whole number to determine how many panels you need.

Case 1: Walls with Doors, Windows or Multiple Sections

Add all wall sections together to calculate the total wall width. Do not subtract doors or windows.

Case 2: Sloped Walls

For sloped ceilings, staircases, or irregular walls, always measure the widest and tallest points.

Use the width from Measure your wall — your wall plus 4 cm (2 in).

Each panel is 72 cm (28 in) wide. Divide and round up to the next whole number.

Example: a 340 cm wall → 344 cm → 344 ÷ 72 = 4.78 → 5 panels.

If your result lands almost exactly on a whole number (5.02, for instance), add one panel — otherwise you'd have nothing left to trim.

Every item is printed to order, so we don't offer refunds or exchanges — with one exception: if your order arrives defective or damaged in transit, write to us at hello@olivelyhome.com with photos as soon as it arrives and we'll put it right.

You can cancel an order before it enters production, which is within 3 hours of purchase. Email hello@olivelyhome.com.

This is also why we recommend ordering samples first. It's the only way to be sure before we print your wall.

What are the differences between self adhesive and traditional wallpaper materials?

There are actually several differences apart from the obvious one that is application method. Please see this comparison of main differences between both of these wallpaper materials here.

Which wallpaper is best for a bathroom?

• Canvas Vinyl is our recommended choice for bathrooms. It offers the highest moisture resistance and is the most durable option for humid environments and occasional water splashes.
• Non-Woven wallpaper is also suitable for powder rooms and well-ventilated bathrooms when installed with a quality wallpaper paste. We simply don't recommend installing it where it will be in direct contact with water.
• Peel & Stick Fabric is better suited to dry rooms. In bathrooms with frequent steam, humidity may reduce the strength of the self-adhesive over time.

Can I order a sample?

At each listing you can find a dropdown menu to select size and material. There you can find a 9,45” x 13” (24x34cm) sample on both self adhesive and traditional wallpaper. You can also order a sample bundle with 3, 4 or 5 samples with your desired designs. Samples are available in all three materials.

Will colors differ between separate wallpaper/wall mural orders?

Yes, as every product is made to order, shades may vary between different material batches, including wallpaper samples and full orders. To avoid this, we recommend ordering full amount required for each wallpaper project at once. Though please keep in mind we always do our best to match the colors between orders as closely as possible.

Where do you ship to?

We ship to USA, Canada, Australia, Europe - you name it! As our wallpapers are shipped with a tracking number, please keep in mind you will need to sign for the parcel upon delivery. Orders shipped to the USA include tariffs. Customers in Canada, the UK, Australia and some other countries may still be responsible for local import charges.

How do I order custom colors?

If the design is customisable, there is going to be a color palette in the photos. Choose one and indicate the pattern and background colors at checkout.

Can I reuse the self adhesive wallpaper?

We don't market our Peel & Stick wallpaper as reusable. In some situations it may be possible to remove and reinstall it, but this depends on the wall preparation, paint, humidity and how long it has been installed. Because these factors are outside our control, we cannot guarantee successful reuse.

Is it easy to remove your wallpaper?

Yes. All of our wallpaper materials are designed to be removable in large panels. However, whether the paint remains intact depends mainly on the wall preparation, primer, paint quality and environmental conditions rather than the wallpaper itself.

Can wallpaper be installed on textured walls?

Our wallpapers perform best on smooth, properly prepared walls.Light orange peel texture may be acceptable for Canvas Vinyl, but medium or heavy textures are not recommended for any of our materials. If you're unsure, we always recommend ordering a sample first to test it on your wall.
