How to Measure Your Wall
The same measuring method applies whether your wall is rectangular, sloped, or has obstacles (windows, doors, etc.). Always measure the full wall size, not just the visible area.
1. Measure the width
Step 1: Measure Every Section
- Measure the wall at its widest point.
- If your wall has columns, pillars, reveals, or multiple sections, measure each part separately and add them together.
Example:
- Imperial system: 12 + 139 + 14 + 71= 236in
- Metric System: 30 + 350 +40 +180= 600cm
Step 2: Add Extra for Installation
Add 2in / 4cm extra per wall section to allow for adjustments during installation.
Example:
- Imperial system: 4 wall sections × 2in= 8 inches extra.
236 + 8 = 244 inches total width
- Metric System: 4 wall sections × 4cm= 16cm extra.
600 + 16 = 616 cm total width
Step 3: Calculate the Number of Panels
Divide the total width by 28 inches/72cm (panel width).
- Imperial system: 244 ÷ 28 = 8,71
- Metric System: 616 ÷ 72= 8,55
Always round up to the nearest whole number.
You would need 9 panels.
2. Measure the Height
- Measure the wall at its highest point.
- Do not include baseboards or crown molding.
- Add 4 inches (10 cm) extra for trimming.
- Select the closest available panel height from the product options (always equal to or slightly taller than your wall).
Panel height is selected in the product options.
Important Notes
- Always measure the entire wall, even if there are windows, doors, or sloped ceilings.
- For uneven walls, the extra 4 inches (10 cm) is essential for proper installation.
- When in doubt, it is safer to round up.
